Micah Goldstein is is an emerging illustrator, animator, and printmaker. She graduated from the film animation program at Concordia University. Through ritualistic, roundabout, and meditative processes, Micah aims to create beautiful, intimate, and dense worlds for the viewer to join her in. In her explorations of the melding of digital and analogue, of printmaking and animation, she works to infuse her sense of “here”; often conveyed through deep, rich textures or heavy analogue layering and transparencies. By immersing herself completely in her process, she invites the viewer into her constructed space. She asks them to take a leap of faith and be welcomed into what “here” means, right now.

Hoping to cross-pollinate her practices, she explores the strange and beautiful intersection between animation and printmaking and hopes to share this growing field with the wider world.
